Naturehike mongar tent review

Naturehike Tent

This blog written by Marysa,A Nation of Moms

We love spending time outside as a family and it is important to have the right gear when it comes to outdoor activities, from hiking to camping. We have gone through many tents over the years and know what kind of features are important to us. We discovered Naturehike tents recently, which have a lot of great, innovative features.

The Naturehike Mongar 3 season 2 person backpack tent is compact and lightweight. We do a lot of camping in the summertime, and this lightweight tent has a lot of ventilation as well.

This tent is only 4 lbs 11 oz, which is so lightweight. At 19.6 x 5.9 x 5.9″, it is very portable as well, and easily fits in a backpack or the car. The poles are a lightweight 7001 aluminum alloy.

Setup is very easily. There is an instruction manual that is easy to understand, and the setup is also very intuitive.

The tent has a Y-frame structure, making it easy to assemble using the lightweight poles.

The poles easily snap into the corners. I really like the design of the tent, since we have struggled with other tents and it can be frustrating if the setup is confusing or difficult.

The tent comes with lots of stakes, so that you can stake out and secure your tent.

Quality

The outer tent and the bottom of the Mongar tent are made of 20D nylon with silicone coating on the surface. With a waterproof index of 4000 mm, we worry less about water getting through the tent. We also love the integrated tarp design that protects the floor of the tent!

The inner tent is made of 20D nylon and B3 breathable mesh. It has a strong feel to it, but has plenty of breathability. We are no stranger to camping in tents that are stuffy in the heat, and where you wake up to a tent full of condensation.

The tent has a nice covered area over the door, which helps make it easy to get in and out while being protected from the elements, and the fly offers an added layer of protection. You can adjust the tent for circulation and shade, which is a great feature.

There are doors on each side of the Mongar, so you don’t have to climb over one another to get out.

The tent packs up nicely, and has a strap to help cinch it tight – something we haven’t seen on other tents. It is so small and lightweight as it is, and it is nice to have that additional ability to pack it tightly without wasting extra space.

The Naturehike Mongar 3 season 2 person backpack tent is a wonderful tent, and we have enjoyed taking this camping with us in the warmer months. It has been fantastic for trips where we want to pack light and want to be comfortable in warmer weather.
