Village™ 13 6-Person Instant Cabin Tent

Great tent! Only used once so far but was extremely easy to set up and take down (w/ 2 people). We had the rain fly on the whole time. Temps at night got down to around 55 degrees but it felt warmer inside the tent. Loved the built in lights too!

I spent two weeks researching all kinds of tents to replace my twenty year old Coleman Weathermaster. My number one priority is that it has to perform in bad weather. Second was that it had to be made of heavy duty, quality materials. This tent exceeded my expectations on both. I was able to set up by myself in no time without reading any instructions. The rain fly took some work though, but I got it. It rained off and on for two days and the tent stayed dry. Water beaded up and rolled right off. Zippers are good and you can unzip the doors with one hand and the zippers don’t get pinched in the material. All those small details really make a difference.

Something I want to mention is that the product description says all seams are taped. There is no tape or sealing of any kind, neither on the tent or fly. I’m not sure if this was a mistake in manufacturing or the description is wrong. I will have to spend some time sealing the seams on the fly just to make sure there won’t be any leaks in heavy rain.

I really love this tent. As someone who has been camping all his life (40+ years!) I can vouch for this tent. We live in Indonesia where it RAINS!!! Like, serious - coming down in buckets - rain. This tent stands up to insane rain and wind with no problems. The rain fly really is top notch and gives you full coverage while still giving really good ventilation. It's a quite proper design. One time I actually pitched this tent in a wrong spot, and it turned into a small pond - but amazingly, not a drop of water came through the floor.

It's VERY well ventilated too which is perfect for the tropics. I can highly recommend this tent - we are a family of 6 (4 kids) and it works fine for our needs.

The only thing I wish was that there were 6 poles included instead of 3 - very minor drawback - because the awning is such a neat feature, I wish we could use it on both sides. Sometimes we just get light sprinkles of rain so it wouldn't work for me to roll up the rain fly, so I end up staking off the back awning similar to the windows. Like I said, this is a minor drawback and I plan on having some extra poles fabricated anyway.

In summary, great tent! I absolutely love it.

This tent sets up in minutes, it's the most water proof tent I've ever had, not a drop of water got through it. They were out of stock of the one we wanted so they upgraded us to the version with the outdoor screened area for free. I can't say enough good things about it!!

I bought this tent a year ago before living in the woods for 4 months straight. It held up to MN weather very well, survived every storm including a sizable 2 day thunderstorm. The ventilation is great and keeps you cool during hot or humid days, and they can be zipped to help keep the cold out. It is extremely easy for a single person to set up, at least until the rain fly, but even that isn’t terribly challenging to do alone. The build quality is good too. The mesh windows are tough, the zippers are good, and all of the tie downs are strong. Over all the tent is strong enough to support approximately 10lbs of camo nettin draped over the top without issue.

Only thing I could consider a downside is how heavy it is. If I remember correctly its somewhere around 40lbs, which means its not a casual stroll carying it into a campsite, but as long as youre going less than a mile and plan to leave it up for the duration of the trip it's manageable.

The only reason I dont still have it is because it isn't bear proof, but I will be buying another eventually.
